Let’s start from the beginning: I am not giving up on my quest to visit every single station in the United Kingdom. I’ve faced some challenges along the way, such as dealing with idiots online, accidentally deleting many of the photos I took of every station I’ve visited since 2022, and losing a significant amount of money from travelling and revisiting many stations I’ve already been to about ten times. However, instead of constantly starting and restarting, I am just going to continue where I left off recently.
Firstly, I have visited 429 National Railway Stations in the United Kingdom so far, out of a total of 2,590 as of this weekend, with Northumberland Park opening on the Ashington line. I plan to continue visiting stations on lines I have never ridden or personally been on, starting with places like Crewe to Shrewsbury, Shrewsbury to Wolverhampton, Birmingham New Street, and many more.

This post is an update on my progress in the visiting every station challenge. I often repeat myself, so instead of reposting about stations I’ve already visited, I’ll focus on visiting new ones. I’ve currently visited 429 stations, which is 16.6% complete, and my goal is to reach 500 stations. My next plan is to start visiting stations in the West Midlands and north of Manchester.
This will include places like Wem, Coventry, Birmingham Moor Street, and many more! Some of the northern stations I have yet to visit include Alderley Edge, Sandbach from Crewe, and even stations from Stoke-on-Trent towards Stockport, such as Macclesfield, Bramhall, and Congleton. There are many stations to come in this new series and revamped version of the current Every Station series here on my blog and over on my TikTok!

Firstly and foremost, I want to apologise for frequently stopping and restarting this challenge. I’m sure you’re all getting rather frustrated with me, but please be assured that I am not giving up. I am merely taking a step back to assess my current progress and continue from where I left off recently. Hopefully, this week I will be visiting stations from Crewe to Shrewsbury, then Shrewsbury to Wolverhampton.

I have completed the following lines on multiple occasions: the Mid Chester line, Chester to Manchester Piccadilly, and Buxton (Manchester Piccadilly to Buxton via Hazel Grove). However, I have not yet visited Whaley Bridge. I have also travelled on the lines from Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Airport, Manchester Oxford Road, and Wigan North Western. From Wigan, I have visited stations to Blackpool North, Preston, and Blackpool South, including stations on the West Coast Mainline.
I have visited stations countless times on the Merseyrail network, including Bidston, Wallasey Village, West Kirby, and Birkenhead stations such as Conway Park and Hamilton Square. I’ve also been to all stations on Merseyrail’s Northern line from Hunts Cross, Sandhills, Southport, and even Ormskirk. I won’t be continuing my series of all Merseyrail stations because I’ve done them so many times. I hope you will understand.

With that said, I would really like you to stick around as I am going to start visiting stations I haven’t even been to or seen in person. My aim for the next month and a half is to reach the major milestone of visiting 500 stations in the United Kingdom, which will mean I have 2000 stations left to visit. I would like to think that in the next few years, I will have completed this epic challenge, and I hope that you will continue to support me and read this blog. Once again, I would like to apologise for constantly changing my mind.
Unfortunately, this is what living with Autism and ADHD can be like. It’s a challenge at times, having two minds fighting each other. One part of me says, ‘I can do this, and I want to complete this challenge and prove everyone wrong who dislike what I do or have done in the past.’ However, the ADHD side of me doesn’t want to continue the challenge because it gets too hard and too costly. So please do stick around, and thank you once again for understanding.
