Hello and welcome to the Spring update for 2026 on my blog. I want to start by apologising for deleting all of my Every Station blog posts. I have faced several issues with the series, including costs, travel, and mental health concerns. However, I am pleased to announce that it is back with two new posts from my trips on Merseyrail. I hope to revisit the Borderlands Line sometime next week. Additionally, I will be moving house in the next few weeks, so posts may become a bit stagnant.

Ellesmere Port Station

I recently travelled the line from Hooton Station to Ellesmere Port for my Branch Line series, which I plan to revive. My next post will focus on Chester to Liverpool James Street, highlighting the stations around the Loop and those on the mainline from Chester to Birkenhead. This route was once part of the Great Western Railway (GWR) network, allowing trains to travel from Woodside all the way to London Paddington.

I will be reviving my Bus Station series and my Split Routes, starting with the 432 and 433 routes that operate between New Brighton and Liverpool City Centre (Cook Street). I hope this will be my next post. Additionally, I will be documenting the new buses entering Merseyside with the long-awaited franchising and publicly owned buses under Mersey Travel and Steve Rotherham, the Metro Mayor for the Liverpool City Region.

With these update posts, I’m planning to cover Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. This will give you regular updates on my mental health travels and adventures throughout 2026 and into 2027. Since launching in November 2024, the website has seen over 5000 views which is incredible. I’d really appreciate it if you subscribed to the blog so you’re notified of new posts and updates.

Upton Station (Least Used Station in Merseyside)

I am considering bringing my Least Used Station series to my blog and continuing my project of Visiting Every Metrolink Stop in Manchester. So far, I have visited East Didsbury and Altrincham, and I need to explore the rest of the network for both the blog and your enjoyment. Additionally, I will be reviving the Every Station series, starting with the Borderlands line from Bidston to Wrexham Central, skipping Wrexham General as I plan to cover that station with the line to Shrewsbury.

I am also planning to introduce a new bus series featuring various route reviews. These will include interesting routes like the rail links between Kirkby and Ormskirk via Headbolt Lane station on the Merseyrail Northern line. Additionally, I want to explore some circular routes such as the 106/7 and the 144 in Bootle, which I recently covered in a bus station post. If you have any suggestions for circular or interesting bus routes, I would greatly appreciate them in the comments.

Heswall Bus Station

I hope to share more regular updates once my new partner and I get accustomed to doing our own thing, such as going on adventures with Day Rangers. I am also planning to bring back my series of Historical Stations (Through the Decades), which I originally created as a video on YouTube. However, I am no longer uploading content on YouTube, TikTok, or Facebook. I am taking a long break from making content and creating videos.

Finally, I want to thank all my readers for sticking with me. At the peak of the blog, I was getting around 400 views and had 24 subscribers. I am currently at 16 subscribers at the time of writing this post. If you’ve recently subscribed or unsubscribed, I would greatly appreciate it if you would resubscribe, as it really helps with the growth and promotion of the blog/website itself. If you have any other suggestions for posts you would like to see from me, please let me know in the comments below.
